PROCESS

Because custom designs are completely tailored to your style, lynn graham designs asks that you inquire as early as possible to reserve their services. If save the dates are included in the custom suite, the custom process usually takes about 4 to 5 months. If save the dates are already mailed out then the custom process takes 3 to 4 months. Please keep in mind that this includes a month of production time. If you are looking for graphic design services, DIY files or to finish off your suite with programs, escort cards, menus or other pieces, this deadline does not apply. But our studio takes on these services on a case by case basis based on their availability on the calendar.

Since custom wedding suites are designed specifically for each couple, exact pricing cannot be determined until lynn graham designs assesses the project as a whole.

Some factors that can affect cost are method of printing, quantity, paper stock, embellishments and number of enclosures. Letterpress, foil stamping, engraving, thermography and other forms of printing are all available.

Keep in mind that day-of stationery can equal the same amount of investment spent on the invitation, but this all depends on what pieces are needed and what your total guest count would be.

1 / CONTACT

The first step in the custom invitation process is to contact lynn graham designs! Please visit the contact page and fill out the form or send us an email!

2 / CONSULTATION

Once we receive your email, we will ask you a couple of quick questions and set up a meeting for a consultation. If you live outside of the Boston area this consultation can be conducted via Skype, Facetime or Google Hangouts. If you live in the Boston area, we would love to set up an in-person consultation at our Newbury Street studio.

The consultation is a very integral part of the process because it gives us a chance to get to know you, your partner and the feel of the wedding. We encourage couples to share images of anything that reflects their wedding style. We love seeing images of the gown, flowers, venue and color palette. If you have a Pinterest board, feel free to share that with us as well!

3 / PROPOSAL, CONTRACT & CONCEPTS

After the consultation, you will receive a proposal of costs based on what we discussed. If the estimate of costs is approved by you, a contract is created and a 50% deposit is collected to reserve our services and time. A production timeline will be included in the contract so you can see when certain milestones happen and when the guest address list is due. Then we move on to the fun part - the design!

4 / APPROVAL & PROOF

In order to proceed to printing and production a final proof, in pdf format, will need to be signed off on and your balance paid in full.

5 / PRINTING, PRODUCTION & SHIPPING

Depending on the printing method, printing and production can take anywhere from 6-8 weeks and calligraphy can take up to 2 weeks. Our standard method of shipping is USPS, but we are happy to ship via UPS and FedEx as well. For orders within Boston, we prefer customer pick up or you can have us take care of the stuffing, stamping, sealing and hand canceling of your invitations.
